3-29-15, 3-30-15, & 3-31-15

It's holy week. And it's spring. And there's only classes Monday-Thursday in observance of Good Friday. It's gonna be a good week.

3-29-15: Flowers Flowers everywhere!!

3-30-15: Tulip trees are my favorite blooming tree. They smell so good!

3-31-15: In the fall, I took a similar image only with an autumn canopy above. Well, I re-did the image to be spring canopy instead.

3-31-15: Even the dandelions are beautiful little specks of yellow!

Also as a bonus image, a pinhole photography image. The pinhole is in the body cap, and I made it for my 35mm film camera, but since it was the first time for me to shoot with a pinhole, I did some test shots on my Canon 70D. This was one of them.

For those of you non-camera language speakers, a pinhole camera is a camera without a lens. The "pinhole" becomes the lens. You just drill a hole bigger than you need, and fit something over the hole (i.e. a thin piece of metal) to make the opening. Then you expose the image and the result is a very painterly soft image. It's a very artistic form of photography.

Spring Break 2: 3-24-15 through 3-28-15

Spring break has been good. It's been nice to be home for a whole week. Here's the pictures from this week.

3-24-15: Spring time and my little Stormmi. I love both.

3-25-15: another picture from my self portrait assignment. One of my favorite places in FFB: Indian Falls

3-26-15: Why are my cats so photogenic??

3-2-15: WinterJam 2015 in Little Rock, AR. We waited in line for five hours to see ten Christian artists for $10. We saw About a Mile, Francesca Batistelli, Jeremy Camp, For King and Country, Newsong, Family Force Five, Veridia, Blanca, and Skillet. But we didn't stay for Skillet.

3-28-15: Family from Texas came up for the weekend, and we went and played mini golf and ate dinner down by the lake. Great times.

Spring break is so nice. I get to be home for a whole week just exploring and taking pictures in my wonderful redneck little town.

3-20-15: My beautiful Bella. She's the queen of the house.

3-21-15: This little waterfall is so peaceful and only runs when  it rains.

3-22-15: Another picture of Bella

3-23-15: A picture from my self-portrait assignment for school.

3-17-15, 3-18-15, & 3-19-15

I'm going home tomorrow for spring break! Only tonight, two classes and a 4-hour drive stand in my way of nearly 10 whole days in the Ozark Mountains. City life just isn't for me...

3-17-15: I worked on my self-portrait assignment today, and got a picture I'm really pleased with. Now getting to this point took like 25 shots of adjusting focus and exposure and posture, ect.

3-18-15: There are trees blooming all over campus. This is one of the prettiest in both looks and smells.

3-19-15: DAFFODILS!!! The official sign of spring in my book :)

3-14-15, 3-15-15, 3-16-15

Spring is coming!! Flowers are starting to bloom everywhere and the trees are budding and it's been near 72 degrees the past two days.

3-14-15: I'm not sure what kind of tree this is, but it is lovely and covered in blooms.

3-15-15: Daffodils (or jonquils) are blooming and these trees are covered in little red buds and swarmed with bees. I think this tree is a red maple tree, but my mom thinks it's a red bud tree. What is it?

3-16-15: a beautiful sunset in the cemetery (again).. It's also a time lapse stacked together.

3-9-15 through 3-13-15

This week has been kinda crazy. But it's been good. There's been quality time and lots of laughter shared with friends.

3-9-15: More pictures of the window I like to hang out beside.

3-10-15: Foggy mornings mean spring is coming.

3-11-15: Macro shots of my Christmas light jar.

3-12-15: Adventures in Oklahoma with Lauren. We made a new friend who was super curious about us.

3-13-15: Rainy nights here on campus = walking back to my dorm barefoot to protect my nice leather shoes.

March 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8: Spring is on it's way!!

The past couple of days have been quite lovely. The snow is practically all melted away, the temps have been warmer, and there's signs of green and new life just about everywhere. I got behind on updating these past few days.. Brace yourself, there's lots of pictures :)

3-4-15: a self portrait in the falling snow

3-5-15: My wonderful friend Alexa cut my hair and added layers to it.

3-6-15: Spring is coming!

3-7-15: Temperatures were in the 60s and I spent as much time outside as I possibly could... and then Skyped with my best friend for like three hours talking about our crazy plans for summer (and quilt making...)

3-8-15: The sunset was spectacular tonight. Looks like a painting.

2-28-15, 3-1-15, 3-2-15, 3-3-15: OMG it's March already...

These pictures have been ready for upload every day, and I just haven't done it yet haha. I had a good routine going for about a week, then that routine flew away. But I haven't missed a single day of shooting yet!! and here it is, the 62 day of 2015!!!!! Woot Woot!! I'm on a roll :) Anyways, enough of me rambling...

2-28-15: Some crazy shenanigans in the snow on Saturday with my friends :)

3-1-15: It's March! How is this possible?? It seems like the year has only just begun..... But look at the pretty snow on the pine trees.

3-2-15: Hiding out under the stairwell again... It's kinda peaceful under there.

3-3-15: a picture for my self portrait assignment. This picture says two distinct things about me. Can you name them??

Have a wonderful day!
